COLOUR: 7 WAYS TO ADD METALLIC ACCENTS TO YOUR DECOR
THE METALLIC TREND IS STILL GOING STRONG - EVEN AS I UPDATE THIS BLOG POST IN JULY 2017
I love the metallic interiors trend that's been on the go for the last year or so, and it's showing no signs of slowing down. The coppers, golds and silvers are everywhere and as much as I love these glitzy tones I would never add more than a few touches here and there.
Gold accents go really well with pinks, greys, greens and browns so there are lots of interior colours you can work these little bits of magic into to brighten up your space.
My favourite are the golds and coppers and it's easy to integrate any of these accessories into traditional or contemporary spaces and keep it subtle (or not!) with my little metallics edit below.
If these links happen to be out of date as you read this, I recommend visiting the stores listed below and heading to the search section - just add in GOLD and I guarantee there will be a huge amount of gorgeous gold accessories - this trend will never fade!!
1: ANTHROPOLOGIE FLOATING SHELF BUY HERE
I love this copper effect floating shelf. It would work equally well set against a dark or light wall colour. Add a few simple chic accessories and antique books to dress. Check out my Pinterest page on shelf styling for a few ideas.
Combining my two favourite things in the world...gold and cheese. These are super cute little knives perfect for an intimate dinner party.
Pastels and metallics work so well in these delicate and elegant candle stick holders. I'm going to attempt a pastel Christmas tree theme this year so these will work perfectly to help tie the look together.
So what do you think of the metallic edit? Which is your favourite?
