DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT: LOAF
COMFY STUFF FROM LOAF
If like me you love super comfortable, good quality sofas, beds and furniture in gorgeous finishes and fabrics then you will absolutely LOVE Loaf. Founded in 2008 by Charlie Marshall Loaf offer a superb range of contemporary, traditional and retro style handcrafted furniture with a huge dollop of "laid back" vibes. They also support some of the UK's heritage industries, like Upholstery, which is always a nice touch.
MY FIRST GLIMPSE OF LOAF
I remember catching my first glimpse of Loaf loveliness at my mum's house a couple of Winters ago. Sat by the AGA with the wind howling and rain pouring down outside I spent rather too much time flicking through the catalogue and being drawn into the wonderful interior room sets.
A successful brand has that innate ability to suck you in to a way of life and create those seemingly unattainable lifestyle goals. I mean I can just imagine a typical "Loaf Sunday" - waking up to the smell of fresh coffee, sinking into a Loaf sofa eating my croissant and reading the paper before casually popping out for a stroll down to Portobello Market and hunting for an antique to casually place on my Loaf bedside table....
Loaf do a fantastic job of presenting their products in beautiful light open spaces but if you don't have white washed walls and bare floorboards don't be put off. Loaf products speak for themselves and will work equally well in a busy more traditional interior too.
I couldn't keep to 5 so here are my top 7! Loaf products for 2016.
