COLOUR: BLUSH PINK WALLS & HOME ACCESSORIES FOR SPRING
Pale pinks have long since featured in my life - officially my favourite colour to wear with black, white & navy AND my favourite lipstick colour - I adore this soft and happy shade. If I had it my way I would have an ENTIRE room painted pale pink like this stunning example from the home of Meredith Steinhart.
The blush pink vibe has gone crazy in interiors and I can't see it going out of fashion anytime soon. It's a gorgeous colour to have around and the perfect Spring pick me up.
It doesn't have to look girlie
As this lovely example from the Paint & Paper Library shows, blush or pale pink doesn't have to look all girly and over the top. Because this pink is ever so slightly different to your normal light pinky pink (it has a bit more of a brown hue to it) it makes for a really versatile colour. I would suggest it works best with light olive green, emerald green, navy, dark and light grey, soft lemon yellow, white and taupe - pairing with these colours will prevent your home from becoming a Barbie dream house.
Have a look at my Pink Interiors Pinterest board for some pink interiors inspiration and colour combinations.
So if painting on your walls try adding in some some gold accents, light or dark wood and marble effects to your soft furnishings. Farrow & Ball have these gorgeous pinky paint tones below; Middleton Pink or Pink Ground are probably most true to blush pink.
If searching for some blush pink home accessories (perhaps because your other male half won't be persuaded to have an entire pink wall???) try these accessories for a touch of sophisticated blush here and there.
