COLOUR: 3 COLOUR PALETTES INSPIRED BY MY VISIT TO THE HAMPTON COURT PALACE FLOWER SHOW
Flowers, Colour and Interior Design
What on earth does a flower show have to do with interior design? Well, lots! Design inspiration comes in so many forms and for me, I love to get out into the real world and experience as much as I can to help inspire and generate new and fresh design ideas. As an avid lover of flowers (as you may well have gathered by now if you are a regular visitor), I just had to take up the invite of a visit to the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and use my design eye to fish out the most stunning colour combinations from all the flowers which I could translate into some lovely interior colour schemes for you guys!

I popped along to the show on press day which meant it was pretty quiet, just photographers, journalists and a few celebs having a sneak peak at the stands and displays before the crowds arrived. I got photographed too which was pretty cool.
Colour Colour Colour
The show was HUGE and there was so much to take in. I was overwhelmed by the amount of colour. I think I am drawn more to a flower because of its colour than it's design so that was the obvious inspiration behind each of my mood boards. I hope you like them!
Peach & Cream Decor
Inspired by the beautiful Dhalias I saw at the show and these orange and peachy tones I wanted to delve a little more into the peach vibe. It wasn't hard to find lots of peachy toned home accessories online. I think these colours would work beautifully in a living room with whites and creams, adding in a bold contrast colour like black or a few dominant prints to prevent the peach from being too sickly.

Blue & Green Decor
OK, so not everything colourful that caught my eye was floral. I loved this Landrover filled display and the huge banana leaf palms. I actually love mixing green and blue together. Although it can look quite intense, get the right tones and shades, and it's a sharp and sophisticated look.

In season as I type this right now, the amazing sunflower. I have to be honest it's not usually one of my favourite flowers but the yellow and brown kind of reminds me of the 70's and that boho look which seems to be enjoying a revival. Paired with white this summery yellow is so pretty - I had to show this shot of Hotel Faena in Miami from Flat 15 below because the yellow and white just looks so simple and stylish with just a glimmer of a darker shade - keeping it simple with yellow is the key.
